Temple
Beth El is located in the Back Cove neighborhood of Portland,
Maine between the University of Southern Maine campus and
Brighton Medical Center.
From
I-295 North or South
Take
exit 6B (Forest Avenue and Routes 302/100) north (outbound).
Continue on Forest Avenue north approximately 0.5 mile to
Dartmouth Street. Turn left on Dartmouth Street and go 3 blocks
to Deering Avenue. Turn right onto Deering Avenue and continue
past Noyes Street to Wadsworth Street. Temple Beth El is on
a small triangular "park" on your left between Wadsworth and
Longfellow Streets. "On street" parking is available on Deering
Avenue, Wadsworth Street, Devonshire Street, and Longfellow
Street and adjacent streets. Several handicap parking spots
are available in the driveway close to the front door of the
synagogue which is accessible from Wadsworth Street.
